Join George Herman, Director of Global Manufacturing IT at Ford Motor Company as he shares an inside look at Ford's Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) and how the manufacturing IT team is playing a key role in driving value for the company. George will share how his team is leading innovation with the Factory of Tomorrow initiative by harnessing technologies and enabling value creation.

George Herman is an executive in Information Technology at Ford, currently in the role of Global Director, Manufacturing IT. This includes the product driven organization for Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain & Logistics. In this role, he is playing a crucial part in partnering with Ford's Advanced Manufacturing team to define the vision and roadmap for Ford's Factory of Tomorrow enabled by disruptive technologies (e.g. Industrial Internet of Things, Digital Twin/Thread).
Previous roles he has held at Ford include Enterprise Program Manager in Product Development & Manufacturing, Manufacturing IT Operations Manager (implementing technologies supporting the development and manufacturing of new vehicle programs), Software Development lead for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Vehicle Operations IT Manager at Kansas City Assembly Plant (launching the Ford Production Systems).
George has contributed to Ford IT's growth and transformation during his 28 years with the company (35+ years in the IT industry). Having a strong foundation in complex program delivery of global enterprise strategic initiatives in both Product Development and Manufacturing. More recently led the transformation into a Product Driven Organization for Product Development & Manufacturing IT teams.
