Introduction to 3D Printing and Smart Product Development
In an effort to promote multidisciplinary projects and to emphasize
the underlying business case all viable products must possess, a new course
titled "Smart Product Development" was developed and delivered at
Milwaukee School of Engineering this year. A Smart Product is loosely
defined as a device that has an embedded computer to interact with
a user or collect data.
This workshop will present an overview of the course,
and include hands-on demonstrations of the technologies used to create
the smart product prototypes, including Arduino microcontroller boards,
Bluetooth radio modules, 3D modeling software, and 3D printing.
Laptops will be provided with software installed if you wish to
follow along with the demonstrations.
The workshop will be limited to 20 seats.
